Step 1: Carefully remove mattress from packaging, being cautious to not cut the mattress cover.
Step 2: Place the mattress on top of your foundation or bed frame.
Step 3: Ensure dials (hybrid model only) located on the side of the mattress are at the head of the bed.
Step 4: Turn the dials to 12 o'clock "optimum" setting on both side
Step 5: Place your linens on your new mattress and get ready for a great nights sleep.
We recommend setting you dials to the "Optimum" position for the first two weeks. This is a good starting point that reflects the correct volume of pressure to displace your body weight and reduce pressure points.
To make the mattress feel softer, lie on the mattress and turn the dial to the "Soft" position. It may take several minutes for the mattress to become softer.
To make the mattress feel firmer, you will need to get off the mattress and turn the dial to the "Firm" position.
Adjust in half number increments every few days to find your "Personalized Setting." Often customers stay with "Optimum," but it's not unusual to adjust the dial on the softer or firmer settings.
Your cotton cover is both removable and washable. To launder: Unzip the top only. Machine wash in cold water with mild soap. Dry on low heat.
Over time, you may want to replace your cotton cover or foam topper. Your Big Mattress Co.® mattress will sleep like new without ever having to discard the entire mattress.
